- My love affair with reading goes back so far that I can't even remember, and believe me, I can remember plenty. Why, back in the days that the dinosaurs and I were roaming the vast unformed land masses, you could actually buy a comic book for 10 cents, or 3 for 25 cents. (And don't even get me started on candy bars!) It seems that I have always loved Dr. Seuss and Nancy Drew, Charles Dickens and Wonder Woman, Agatha Christie and Robert B. Parker. I wouldn't want relatives to know that I prefer my books to my family, but on the other hand, books don't spill their drinks on the carpet or ask to borrow money. In literary circles, this is what we call a best seller!
